We sat down with Vinay Chandra Awasthi, Country Managing Director of HP India who have entered the “Best Customer Experience Strategy” category at the International Business & Leadership Awards taking place on 30 & 31 March 2020 in Dubai, UAE.
HP is a household name but can you tell us a bit more about what you do?
HP is a leading global provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses. HP India is one of the largest and most diverse sites for HP outside of the US, providing invaluable business leadership. Business for HP India spans across a broad range of PC, Printing, Managed Services, Graphics, Industrial and 3D printing to consumer, enterprise, mid-market, SOHO and government segment (i.e. banking, IT space, manufacturing, education etc.).

What are you experiencing within the IT sector in India at the present?
The key challenge that any IT company faces today is the constantly evolving needs and an industry changing faster than one can think. Tectonic shifts in the way IT is consumed, bought and managed has put immense ownership on companies like ours to continue to be relevant to the needs of our customers. The industry is going through a phase of rapid change and consolidation. Predicting the future and innovating for needs of the customer is the biggest challenge that we see today.
